Carbon offsetting is a responsible way to neutralise the carbon emissions we cannot avoid creating at home, when travelling or in business.
Carbon Passport can help you by providing carbon offsets from projects which prevent or reduce the release of greenhouse gases.
The quality of a carbon offset is very important. Quality refers to the degree of certainty that a carbon reduction you have paid for actually happens. Some carbon offsets are based on carbon reductions which would have happened anyway or claim reductions that cannot be properly verified.
Our offsets are fully Kyoto-compliant. These are the only type of credits that meet the UK government's offsetting code of practice.

- Are Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) which are internationally recognised credits
- Originate from Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) carbon offset projects in the developing world which have passed the most stringent independent evaluation, verification and audit processes
- Are calculated using carbon footprint calculators that follow the UK government's guidelines for measuring CO2
